Josh Wheeler, PE is a registered professional engineer in the State of Oregon and currently works for the City of Oregon City as the Assistant City Engineer. He came to the City in 2018 with 20 years of experience in development and public works. He started his career designing and managing the civil engineering of private developments and transitioned to City Engineer and ultimately Public Works Director of the City of North Chicago, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. He came to Oregon in 2014 to become Public Works Director of Benton County in Corvallis. His experience with geologic hazards within the City or Oregon City has allowed the City to hold a Geologic Hazard Community Forum in 2020 and seek to adopt enhanced municipal code changes in 2021.
