City of Portland Initiatives: Get the latest on the Residential Infill Project

Join this panel discussion on the major Residential Infill Project (RIP) take-aways for developing and building in the R2.5-R7 single dwelling zones in Portland. The RIP aims to allow additional middle housing options, contingent upon specific scale and design criteria. Now that the Planning and Sustainability Commission (PSC) has sent City Council its recommended draft*, which has changed significantly since its inception, stakeholders will have another chance to weigh in later in 2019 before Council votes to adopt the code amendments. Panel topics will include: partial up-zoning of the R5 zone, scale and design criteria (including Floor Area Ratio (FAR) and height), duplex-quadplex specifications, equity concerns, parking and narrow lot requirements.
