Where to stay, where to park, and where to go to get the most out of your BuildRight Conference + Expo experience.
The location for the 2024 BuildRight Conference + Expo looks a little different this year. We are excited to be in Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District which is home to some of Portland’s most sought out local makers, designers, and boundary-pushing creatives, as well as countless inventive restaurants, bars, and shops like Cargo,City Liquidators, Westward Whiskey Distillery, and more. This inspiring district in Portland is just over the Willamette River coming from Downtown Portland and has been revitalized and reinvigorated to provide Portland locals and visitors a fun and safe area to explore.
The Location for the the 2024 BuildRight Conference + Expo – The Factor Building
About the Factor Building: Originally built in the late 1920s and early 1930s, The Factor Building is comprised of two warehouse buildings (renovated and combined in 2021) with a combined area of 50,000 square feet. The building construction includes steel structural upgrades, concrete, original old-growth timber, loading docks, and large window bays providing classic industrial workspace and creative industrial office spaces.
Parking Options + How to Get There
Option #1 – Park & shuttle from OMSI! To provide a seamless parking experience, we will have parking available at the OMSI parking lot with convenient shuttle service to the conference location. If you wish to take the shuttle to and from the conference, please park in the far-south OMSI parking lot at 1945 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214. Please look for BuildRight parking signs to direct you where to park.
Shuttle run times:
Thursday, April 18 – 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday, April 19 – 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Please note that there is a train that runs through this part of Portland sporadically and the shuttle will be delayed if this overlaps with travel hours.
Option #2 – Portland Streetcar – We have worked out an exclusive deal for all BuildRight attendees! All attendees will receive free rides on the Portland Streetcar during the entire duration of the conference. Click here to access the offer and save the image on your phone to keep as your ticket! Please get off at the SE Hawthorne stop and take a short walk to The Factor Building from there. Get off on the SE Water exit for the OMSI shuttle parking lot.
Option #3 – Street Parking at location: 226 SE Madison St., Portland, OR 97214 – please note that street parking will be available on the surrounding streets of the conference location but potentially could be challenging during conference times. Please download the Parking Kitty app to your mobile phone if you plan to attempt street parking.
